Many colorful characters make up our team, here we introduce you to the horses and heads of the Engadin River Ranch:
Mendi is our man for all occasions. The trained farmer and snowpark builder solves logistical problems in no time at all. Improvisation is his specialty. He is not only the professional for irrigation, hay and repair tasks, but also an outdoor chef and loving father to his children Lynn, Auryn and Mayra. At the River Ranch, Mendi takes care of the culinary delights around the open fire and, as the only man, always keeps an overview.
Mia has been your contact since 2009 when it comes to booking a tour or organizing things around the farm.
Since May 2023, she has been working full-time at the reception desk of the Porsche Center Oberer Zürichsee in Feusisberg SZ. As a sideline, she takes care of the River Ranch (with the help of Miriam, not to be found on the homepage) in the home office from ZH Oberland.

Salome, the young woman with a lot of power from the Basel region, supports the Engadin River Ranch team in summer and winter and wherever she is needed.
With the lively nature of the qualified nurse, there is never a dull moment.
She loves to sit on horseback and introduce guests to the Engadin.

Anna has been with us since spring 2022 and is an integral part of the team.
She shows our guests the valley on horseback, visits our cows on the alp, helps out with haymaking or fencing and helps shape everyday life on the farm from A-Z.
Her dog Kalle provides lots of laughs and slobbery moments for our guests and for us; the two of them are great!

Cheyenne was born and raised with many animals in a large family in the Engadine; she has been familiar with horses since she was 4 years old.
For some time now, she has been an integral part of the farm; first as an “occasional help and all-rounder” and now as a permanent team member.
With a lot of heart she can be found with the cows, horses or in the field; she is always there when there is a need.

The trained chimney sweep hung up her top hat in May 2024 and changed tack; she has been with us ever since.
High up in the mountains with the horses and guests, she feels at home.
When the wind blows, the rain pours or the sun shines, she explores the mountains and adapts to all conditions.
With lots of positive energy, the strong young woman is hard at work on all the farm chores.

Betti has been part of our team since May 2024. She discovered her passion for horses at a young age and now brings it to the farm every day.
As a preschool teacher and caregiver in the children’s home as well as a riding instructor, she has a special knack for the little ones, which is very valuable for our everyday farm life.
Betti was born in Hungary and came to Switzerland a few years ago, where she gained a foothold in agriculture. Animals and nature have always been an important part of her life; she now combines the two on long walks or rides with her dog and/or horse.
